Product Release: Five Essential Features to Streamline Your Operations

These questions are once again answered with our latest product release, and below we will highlight five of the newest updates that are vital for your property’s ongoing operational success.  

Five New Features in RMS
1. A Brand-New Guest Rewards Option: In addition to the existing Loyalty by Points program, RMS has added Loyalty by Nights, so you can feature a loyalty program that rewards guests for each night they stay at your property. RMS knows that every business is unique and offering users multiple rewards programs enables them to customize the guest experience. Both programs offer configuration options, including sign-up credits, expiration rules, birthday rewards, depreciation rules, and more.   

2. Tour Management with More Features: Expanded tour settings and brand-new features have made this release huge for the Tour Desk. New Tour Desk features include:  

  • The ability to scan in your tour attendees with QR codes  
  • Option to send automatic tour confirmations  
  • Dedicated tour merge fields for your notification emails or SMS messages 
  • Ability to enable capacity controls  
  • Apply existing Restrictions you’ve set up to the Tour Desk   


3. Two Functions in One Feature - Night Audit & Housekeeping Status: Simplify your end-of-day room status review by creating rules for room clean status that will take effect during the Night Audit. Want all your vacant-dirty rooms to automatically switch to vacant-clean during the Night Audit? This is now an optional set-and-forget feature in RMS that promises to help ease your staff’s daily workload. 

4. More Controls Inside the Guest Portal: The RMS Guest Portal is even more convenient for you and your guests with the new option to add guests to an existing reservation. Don’t worry – your existing reservation rules will still be in place, and if there are any charges, the balance will adjust. You’ll never miss an added guest since these changes will trigger a Message Center notification.   

5. Enhanced Cancellation Policies with Fees: RMS wants to make managing your property more streamlined where possible. Now, you can set up fee rules inside of your cancellation policies, so you don’t have to manually apply charges when someone cancels at the last-minute. Customize your policies to match your property’s needs with fee options that include flat fees, fees based on notice given, and percentage fees.
